Cullum & Brown had the opportunity to work with a local medical center in Kansas City, Missouri. In a time when necessary medical equipment must be accessible, we were glad we could assist this particular facility with the technology they needed. This specific medical center is well-known in the medical industry for its high level of care and a variety of specialized services.
Their NICU Breathing Air Unit was the department that needed Cullum & Brown’s team of engineers to update their current, out-of-date air system. When handling the problems of any client, we take into consideration the issue at hand, what potential losses the problem could create, and what we can do to improve any compromised operational issues.
This medical center had a duplex 15 HP oil-less reciprocating medical breathing air system that was getting dated and did not have enough capacity for future expansion of the NICU department.
It was our job to decide what technology and configuration to use for this breathing air application that would give the facility room to expand in the future. This technology was also designed to save the hospital money due to energy consumption savings.
Cullum & Brown provided them with a 10 HP tri-plex (expandable) oil-less scroll system. This would allow them to efficiently run the hospital with reduced working HP while giving them the flexibility to expand if/when the hospital has increased demands. We are currently in the process of adding the 4th expansion module to the system, giving them an increase of 33% capacity.
Due to the great working relationship between the medical center and Cullum & Brown, we were able to come up with a cost-effective solution that was the best option for the hospital’s current and future demands. The system has increased their productivity within the breathing unit. Contact Cullum & Brown today to find out how we can change the way your business operates!
